Scenography de La vie des bord(e)s
text of Sandrine Roche
Théâtre le Cube, Hérisson, France
2022

Based on a tale of a mysterious plant, a kingdom, society, and the nature of power, the scenography takes shape within an atmosphere gradually enveloped by mist. A translucent tarpaulin stretches across the stage, allowing forms to appear and disappear through shifting layers of opacity.

Fallen branches, collected during a walk in the countryside, are placed upstage. They are not transformed, but simply displaced. Within the theatrical space, they begin to be seen differently. Placed in dialogue with the clock, the branches create a subtle tension between measured time and organic growth. Within this space, the possibility of choice quietly emerges.
