Set within a mountain landscape reminiscent of a Greek theatre, the perfotmance unfolds as a meditation on life, war, and death. Sheets of paper are laid directly on the ground, held in place by stones and exposed to the wind. 

Inspired by René Char’s Feuillets d’ Hypnos, Sisi Liu creates drawings and rubbings from the engraved poems on a plaque in the garden of Pavillon Bosio, extending them onto large sheets of tissue paper (80*180cm).

Through the wind, acting as an intermediary between body and paper, something takes place that cannot be seen directly, but leaves its trace on the paper. Stones, earth, paper, poetry, and death enter into dialogue, each animated through the same movement. The temporary installation brings together a cemetery, a theatre, and the surrounding landscape into a shared space of encounter.
